Buena Vista Park Family Session

Buena Vista Park in Vista - north San Diego County - was the perfect session for a late summer family photoshoot!

There are many things I love about San Diego, but my favorite by far are the diverse landscapes all within an hour drive. Buena Vista Park in Vista is no exception. When you drive into the parking lot of the small city park, there's a little pond with geese and willow trees, fed by a creek that winds its way through the park. You set foot on the relatively flat and narrow dirt trail, lined by scrub, brush and rolling hills. After about three quarters of a mile, you hit a gorgeous wood bridge that leads you to a golden field. Set onto the trail against and you're skirting the creek, lined by green trees and more scrub. All of this leads to an incredibly diverse selection of backdrops for a family session!

I met the Flores family at Ed's Navy homecoming where Terry and I immediately hit it off, so I knew this session would be a blast. I don't think there were many moments when we weren't laughing! A dual active duty family, Terry is a badass Senior Chief in the Navy and an incredible photographer herself. I love sessions that feel like we're just hanging out for an hour, and this evening was one of those.
